Hi, everyone! I am Vannessa Lee. This blog is developed to introduce and share beautiful places. The first place I am going to introduce is my hometown – Kuantan, Pahang. Kuantan is a state capital of Pahang on the east coast of peninsular Malaysia. Kuantan is an amazing and beautiful place for natural lover to visit.


1. Teluk Cempedak beach
Teluk Cempedak is also known as Palm Beach. It is located 5 kilometres east from the town centre in Kuantan. The white sandy beach and casuarinas and pine trees line the coast, with some rocky promontories facing the South China Sea. It is suitable for people to playing kite, surfing and building sand castle. There is many restaurant nearby such as McDonald, KFC, Subway, Sushi King, A&W and western food.

2. Pantai Batu Hitam
Pantai batu hitam is a beach located about 10 km from Kuantan, Pahang. It is called Batu Hitam for its stretch of black stones at the otherwise white sandy beach.

3. Sungai Pandan waterfall
Sungai Pandan waterfall is also known as the panching waterfall. The drive from Kuantan is about 20 minutes (13 km by distance).
The park is closed on Friday for maintenance. Otherwise, for Monday to Thursday, it is opened 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs. For weekends and public holidays, 0900 hrs to 1800 hrs.
Park entrance fee is RM 2 for Malaysian adults, and RM 5 for foreigners. Parking fee is RM 3 per car.

4. Tasik Chini
Tasik Chini is one of the only two natural Lakes in Peninsula Malaysia, both of which are located in the state of Pahang. Located approximately 100km from Kuantan town. It is Malaysia’s second largest natural lake and is made up of a series of 12 Lakes. With its well-known myths, the Lake has attracted many visitors from various destinations. Legend has it that a mythical dragon lives in the lake and is the guardian of a lost city of gold, which was once situated at the lake. Enjoy a Boat Ride through a narrow river canopied by huge Tropical Rainforest Trees. The Lotus Flowers and the Water lily’s greet you are you reach the first lake.On the banks of the lake live the Jakun people – an Aboriginal Tribe who also believe that a serpent Naga Seri Gumum (Loch Ness Monster) is the spirit and guardian of the Lake.

5. Taman Teruntum
Taman Teruntum is a mini zoo that located in Kuantan, Pahang. It is a place which suitable for parent to bring their kids to visit as it have many type of animal such as bear, deer, monkey, bird, snake, ostriches, horse and crocodile. Besides, it also have the facility for kids to play around. The mini zoo is free to enter.
